The firm was founded in Wheeling, West Virginia in 1964 and opened its Weirton, West Virginia office in 1980. John S. Bodkin, Jr., CPA, joined the firm in 1977. He became a partner in 1980 and the managing partner in 1997. Following his graduation from Wheeling College he worked in the audit departments of two large international public accounting firms in New York City. From 1969 through 1974 he was with Arthur Andersen & Co. and from 1976 to 1977 he was with Coopers & Lybrand. He was the Internal Audit manager at Hertz Corporation from 1974 through 1976. Since joining the firm he has been in charge of the firm's audit practice and is also involved in individual and business taxes, consulting and litigation support engagements. He is also the partner in charge of the firm's employee benefit plan audit practice. He is a past president of the Board of Trustees of Oglebay Institute and a past president of the Wheeling College Alumni Association. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Home for Aged Men. Mr. Bodkin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is the Past President of the West Virginia Board of Accountancy and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and a Past Member of the Governing Council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A leader in community affairs, Mr. Bodkin has dedicated substantial effort toward the revitalization of downtown Wheeling. He works closely with the leadership of the City of Wheeling, Ohio County and various development organizations whose goal is the improvement of the economic and social climate in Wheeling. Jack and his wife, Christine, live in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Dan E Wilson, CPA, MBA, is originally from Cameron, West Virginia and is the partner in charge of our Weirton office. He graduated from Wheeling College in 1977 and obtained an MBA from West Virginia University prior to joining the firm in July of 1979.  He became a partner in 1987. Mr. Wilson concentrates in the area of taxation and is also significantly involved in business consulting and in the firm's audit practice. He currently serves as the treasurer of the Weirton Rotary Club, President of the Weirton Area Community Foundation, and is on the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Tax Institute. He is also an active member of the Finance Committee of the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Wilson is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is also licensed to practice in the state of Ohio. He and his wife, Ronnie, and son, Bryant, live in Weirton, West Virginia.

Dennis A. Kozicki, CPA, a Wheeling native, has been with the firm since 1978. He became a partner in 1987. He is a Wheeling College graduate and from 1987 until 1996 was the partner in charge of the firm's Florida office. He is experienced in the individual, partnership, corporate and real estate taxation areas and is significantly involved in the firm's accounting and auditing practice. Mr. Kozicki returned to Wheeling in 1996 and has become very active in Wheeling's civic organizations. He is a member and Past President of the Wheeling Civitan Club and a member of the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee of the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center. Dennis has been a Rotarian since 1988, participating in Rotary Clubs both in Florida and Wheeling. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia and Ohio Societies of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Kozicki is dedicated to the stimulation of economic development in the Wheeling area through the restoration and preservation of historic buildings in downtown Wheeling. He is the President of The Maxwell Centre, L.C. and The Maxwell Partners, L.C. He, his wife, Carrie, and son, Zachary, live in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Nancy J. Gwynn, CPA joined the firm in September, 2003, was promoted to Senior Manager in July, 2009, and became a partner in January of 2011. She is a 1991 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Prior to joining the firm she held positions in both managerial and public accounting in Cincinnati, Atlanta and the U.S. Territory of Guam. From 1997 until 2003 she practiced as a self employed CPA. Ms. Gwynn is primarily assigned to the firm's Wheeling office and is involved with the firm's audit and tax practice. She is a leader in the firm's employee benefit plan audit practice with responsibility for a significant portion of the firm's Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and United States Department of Labor engagements, including the audits of several Taft Hartley funds. She also works with non-profit organizations, small businesses and government organizations. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is licensed to practice in West Virginia and Ohio. Nancy also has served on the Board of Trustees of Oglebay Institute since January, 2010 and the Board of Directors of the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce since March of 2011.  She is on the Executive Committee of the Women's Giving Circle. Nancy resides in Wheeling with her husband, Gary, and their sons, Gary, Jeff and Jason.

Brendan T. Welsh, CPA, MSA joined the firm in February 2005. He is a graduate of Bethany College where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with a minor in Management. In addition, he earned a Master's degree in Accountancy at Wheeling Jesuit University. At Bethany, he was a member of the Dean's List and Kappa Mu Epsilon Mathematics Society. Brendan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of Northern Panhandle Head Start. Brendan serves as the President of the Northern Panhandle Chapter of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, he is an active participant in the Society's "Careers in Accounting" project group. Brendan is primarily involved in the firm's audit practice.  He is active in the firm's Single Audit practice and is responsible for several OMB circular A-133 engagements.  He is also involved in the firm's tax practice. Brendan lives with his wife, Katie, in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Doreen M. DeMeter, CPA joined the firm in September 2007. She is a 1989 graduate of The Ohio State University. She has more than 22 years of accounting related experience, including over 17 years in public accounting with 5 of those years as a sole practitioner. Doreen's responsibilities with the firm are primarily in the firm's tax practice.  Other responsibilities are in the field of financial reporting and monthly accounting for small businesses. She is also responsible for payroll tax reporting and individual, corporate and partnership income tax preparation for these small business clients. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is also licensed to practice in the state of Ohio. Doreen lives in St. Clairsville, Ohio with her sons, Jesse and Jakob and daughter, Jolen.

Michael P. Swearingen, CPA joined the firm in January 2010 as an intern and became a full time employee in June 2010. He graduated in May 2010 from West Liberty University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Adminisration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Computer Information Systems. Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is assigned to our Weirton office and is involved in the firm's tax and audit practice. Mike lives in Follansbee, West Virginia.

Justin M. Pastorius, CPA, MSA joined the firm in August 2010. He graduated in May 2009 from Wheeling Jesuit University with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and Mathematics.  He has also earned a Master's degree in Accountancy at Wheeling Jesuit University. Justin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is assigned to our Wheeling office and is involved in the firm's audit and tax practice. Justin lives in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Monica L. Nelson, CPA joined the firm in January 2012.  She is a 1997 graduate of West Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  She received a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting from Robert Morris University in 2001. She has more than 10 years of accounting related experience including over 7 years in public accounting. Monica is assigned to our Weirton office with responsibilities in the field of financial reporting and monthly accounting for small businesses. She is also responsible for payroll tax reporting and individual, corporate and partnership income tax preparation. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Monica lives in Weirton, West Virginia with her daughter, Alaina.

Aimee E. Tickerhoof joined the firm in January 2006 as an intern and became a full time employee in May 2006 upon completion of her Bachelor's degree in Accountancy at Wheeling Jesuit University. Aimee is an associate member of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is primarily involved in the firm's audit and tax practice. Aimee lives in Bridgeport, Ohio with her husband, Josh, and their sons, Cameron and Mitchell.

Debra K. Faldowski joined the firm in 1992. She has an A.A.B. degree in Accounting from Belmont Technical College and has pursued further studies in accounting at Wheeling Jesuit University. Debbie is also trained in the use of QuickBooks. Debbie's responsibilities with the firm are primarily in the field of financial reporting and monthly accounting for small businesses. She is also responsible for payroll tax reporting and individual, corporate and partnership income tax preparation for these small business clients. She lives with her husband, Frank, in Rayland, Ohio.

Amy R. Schmitt joined the firm in February 2010 as an intern and became a full time employee in May 2011. She graduated in May 2011 from West Liberty University with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. Amy is an associate member of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is assigned to our Wheeling office and is involved in the firm's tax and audit practice. Amy lives in Wheeling, West Virginia with her daughter, Bella.

Lindsay N. Rice joined the firm in August 2011.  She graduated in May 2011 from West Liberty University with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. Lindsay is an associate member of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is assigned to our Wheeling office and is involved in the firm's tax and audit practice. Lindsay lives in Wheeling, West Virginia.
